Meet Some of Our Key People
James O’Donnell, Owner.
James O’Donnell, is a Licensed Master Electrician with more than 41 years of electrical contracting experience. After returning from Vietnam in 1970, Jim accepted a position with the Detroit Police Department where he was on active duty for 2½ years. Upon his departure, he opened a remodeling company and earned his Master Electrician License. Jim founded O’Donnell Electric in 1977 in Plymouth, MI.
James O’Donnell, (Jr.) Vice President of Operations
Jim O’Donnell began his employment with O’Donnell Electric in 1993 and holds the position of Vice President in charge of Operations. Jim’s responsibilities include project management, as well as managing the sales and estimating process. He has extensive experience in the electrical industry and has managed multi-million-dollar projects.
Bridget (O’Donnell) Kewin, Chief Financial Officer
In 2015, Bridget joined the O’Donnell Electric team, as Chief Financial Officer. She has a Masters Degree in Finance from Walsh College and a Bachelor’s in Economics from Grand Valley State University. Bridget has 16+ years of experience in commercial finance.
Jeff Beane, Senior Project Manager
Jeff has been a Senior Project Manager on the team since 2013. Prior to joining O’Donnell Electric, Jeff was the founder and CEO of North Point Electric for 18 years. He has extensive experience in all aspects of electrical, especially governmental projects, and is currently the project manager on several government projects.
Andy Dettling, Project Manager
In 2004, Andy started as an apprentice in the field at O’Donnell Electric, learning the business from the ground up. Andy is currently a project manager with extensive experience overseeing commercial and residential projects . Andy has worked on and supervised several United States Army jobs, as well as senior care buildings throughout Southern Michigan. He has worked directly with the general contractor on the Ann Arbor Public Schools and Washtenaw Intermediate School District improvement projects.
Matt Prentice, Service Manager
Matt started with O’Donnell Electric in 2006 as a Journeyman electrician, and is now a licensed Master Electrician, as well as OSHA 30 certified. He has worked the service side of the company for 13 years and has earned the title of Service Manager. Matt is responsible for overseeing the service department and taking care of residential and commercial customers.
Michelle Reichel, Office Manager
Michelle joined O’Donnell Electric in 2010 and has kept the office running smoothly ever since. As Office Manager, Michelle brings more than 14 years of office management experience working within various trades. Michelle’s multi-faceted role includes booking keeping, payroll, AR/AP, close-out activities, distribution and collection of change orders, and many other responsibilities.
